What do you do here OKWU?
I am adjunct faculty for Nursing.
What do you like most about teaching at OKWU?
I love the Christian atmosphere. It is wonderful knowing that everyone we work with are people of faith.
How did you end up here?
A friend, Teresa Frazier, told me that Dr. Gaddis needed an instructor. I called him and here I am.
Where did you originally call home?
I was born in Pryor, OK.
Where did you go to school and what did you study there?
I went to LPN school in Loveland, CO. I received an ADN from Rogers State College. I received my BSN from Northeastern State University. I went back to school and earned a M.Ed. from UCO and a M.S.N. from University of Phoenix.
What is your family like?
I have a wonderful husband, who is retired Navy. Between us, we have three daughters, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
What hobbies, activities, or topics do you most like spending time on?
I love walking in nature, reading, quilting, crocheting, and knitting.
What is one interesting fact that many people might not know about you?
I did travel nursing for two years.
What is the most interesting country you have visited or would like to visit? Why?
I have not been out of the United States. We have a motorhome and we have been in quite a few states in the U.S. I find our country very beautiful and full of surprises.
If you could go back and meet any one famous historical figure, who would you pick and why?
I would love to talk with Benjamin Franklin. He seemed to have a very active imagination and brought many of his ideas to life.
